FlatcoatData

FlatcoatData is a worldwide database of Flat-Coated Retrievers. The database includes almost
200,000 Flat Coats from over 2,000 kennels. As litters in the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Germany are registered, they are all automatically added to the FlatcoatData database. While in the remaining countries, it is primarily up to breeders and owners to add and update their dog’s information. Access to FlatcoatData is by membership only. If you belong to the Flat Coated Retriever Society of Canada or the United States your membership has been paid for by these clubs.

Each dog entered has pedigree information and a pedigree coefficient of inbreeding for up to 8
generations. Dog’s can be found all the way back to the 1900’s. Each dog entered has
numerous fields that may contain health information, cause of death, temperament details,
photos, titles, progeny, siblings and activities that the dog is/was involved in. You may also perform searches for a particular health disorder, specific color, country or kennel.

This database also includes a “virtual mating”tool. You may match sires and dams and see the
pedigree coefficients of inbreeding (PCOI). It should be noted that the PCOI’s are calculated
based on 8 generations of the dog's pedigree and are not a representation of genetic coefficients of inbreeding (GCOI). You can use Better Bred to match sires and dams based on UCDavis VGL genetic diversity test results. There are also other companies that offer genetic testing and comparisons as well. Please be aware that genetic test should be compared against the same genetic tests.

In order to have a dog entered in this Frozen Semen Directory is must be listed in Flatcoat Data as well. This Directory is meant to be a jumping off point for interest in a particular dog. We
encourage you to seek out more information on FlatcoatData and contact the owner of
the frozen semen for more information. Also, if you find your own dog is missing information in FlatcoatData we highly encourage you to update your dog's profile.
